Communicating with Teenagers

Step 1: Listen Actively

Give full attention to the teenager when they are speaking. Avoid distractions, make eye contact, and acknowledge their feelings to show that you are fully engaged in the conversation.

Step 2: Avoid Lecturing

Resist the urge to lecture or talk at your teenager. Instead, engage them in an open dialogue where both parties have the opportunity to speak and be heard.

Step 3: Stay Calm
