# Installing Low-Flow Fixtures
This playbook outlines the steps to select and install low-flow water fixtures such as toilets, showerheads, and faucet aerators, to conserve water and energy.

### Step 1: Selection
Research and choose low-flow fixtures that meet the efficiency criteria. Look for the EPA&#x27;s WaterSense label for assurance of water and energy savings.

### Step 2: Purchase
Buy the selected low-flow toilets, showerheads, and faucet aerators from a reputable supplier. Ensure compatibility with your existing plumbing.

### Step 3: Remove Old Fixtures
Turn off the water supply. Carefully remove existing toilets, showerheads, and faucets, taking care to prevent damage to plumbing.

### Step 4: Install Toilets
Following the manufacturer&#x27;s instructions, install the low-flow toilets, ensuring a secure and leak-proof connection to the plumbing system.

### Step 5: Install Showerheads
Wrap plumber&#x27;s tape around the threads of the shower arm for a watertight seal. Screw on the new low-flow showerhead securely.

### Step 6: Install Aerators
Unscrew the old aerator from the faucet, clean the threads, and screw the new low-flow aerator on tightly.
